9-1-1 Season 6 Episode 4 - Animal Instincts
Animal Instincts comes in with humorous and not too serious calls on top of some dramatic decisions being made by many of our 118. While the episode kept me on my toes I can’t say I'm happy with the direction of some of the story, but more on that as we go.
9-1-1 Season 6 Episode 3 - The Devil You Know
The Devil You Know is solely focused on Athena and Bobby in Florida investigating Tanya’s murder but it is by no means a subpar episode. Despite the lack of our other 9-1-1 characters this is a really strong episode. We have drama, suspense, and a debate on who-dun-it. Not to mention great acting all around.
9-1-1 Season 6 Episode 1 - Let The Games Begin
The season six premiere. I was unsure how this season was going to start us off, what kind of feeling they were going to set us up for, and I have to say I wasn’t quite expecting what we got. Normally our 9-1-1 premieres have a huge disaster that spans a couple of episodes. Season six changed that up. We had a large emergency but not a disaster.
For a premiere I wasn’t disappointed. We have some fun character arcs being built up to, we had a blimp crash, and Athena got to perform an emergency heart transplant (sort of). Bobby sports some great vacation-wear. And they end the episode on a decent cliffhanger.
And a great Buck, Eddie, Chris dinner scene that was almost too adorable.
9-1-1 Season Five Episode 16 - May Day
This episode had some really great moments and some really odd moments. I love more screen time with May because she’s really developed into such a great character but there’s some Taylor and and Lucy moments that were just not great. There’s also amazing Bobby and May moments that will make the heart melt.
9-1-1 Season Five Episode 15 - FOMO
Hey angels and biscuits, we are back with a review for FOMO. I’m actually pleased with the direction the last half of season five has been going. I admit I’m gaining a little hope and optimism for the writing getting back to being top notch. We had great calls, great character moments, and nothing really that terrible.
9-1-1 Season 5 Episode 14 - Dumb Luck
This was another episode of season five that I went into with high expectations but unlike Fear-o-phobia this one delivered better results. Not perfect but definitely much more engaging and entertaining.
We had high intensity calls, Buck supporting Eddie as he gets help for his PTSD and survivor’s guilt, wholesome poker night with Grant-Nash’s and Wilson’s, and best of all great Buck, Eddie, and Chris content.
9-1-1 Season 5 Episode 13 – Fear-o-phobia
This episode I went in with high expectations and left disappointed. I believe it was Becker who said, “No expectations no disappointments.” He was onto something there. I was impressed with the previous episode and how they handled Maddie and Chim and their story but Fear-o-phobia fell flat. Not to say there weren’t great moments but overall not impressed.
